 The D's Outlook

Vol. CDLI: "Confessions"

No commentary this week as we continue to resolve technical issues here at headquarters (Just sounds better than saying this stupid computer is acting up).

Random thoughts this week:

  • R.I.C.O - Yallz boy better get familiar with the term real soon, as he's about to face some serious charges from the Feds. The $79k restitution is only a drop in the bucket.
  • Riddle Me This - Sam Riddle got lucky in Round I of his defense. Let's see how he holds up in Round II.
  • Tiger Talks - Well not really. He held a fake press conference and apologized. Just play golf!
  • Toyoda Recall - Did you get an opportunity to see Mr. Toyoda give his testimony before Congress? He danced pretty good around some of the questions.

Now it's up to you to confess your love for The D by asking all of your friends to subscribe TODAY. Once you've done that, make your way down to This Week's Events.

 Cocktails Commentary

From the LowDown's resident authority on life and poetry, Cocktails

Tiger Woods went from a Buddhist to a Bootyist.  An Austin man crashed his plane into the IRS.  We see these images daily with our iris.  I’m staring at the idiot box with dilated pupils of how they have diluted my people.  In God We Trust and we have convoluted the steeple.  It’s all murky.  No one is weird anymore they are just quirky.  And if we point it out then we are discriminating and hating.  Berating the people that are real and appeasing and sympathetic to the ones that are faking.  That’s why people outside the U.S. look at us like cake for the taking.  What type of character and content are we creating?  I wake up and ask for the Lord what is for me let it be and what isn’t take it away.  That’s what gives me the strength to take these energies in everyday.  You can’t let some else determine your mood.  If that was the case, then we all would be a depressed brood.  I remember when recess was how we ran off our lunch food.  Now this recession has the soup line full of all life walks.  I walk through this life offering food for thought.  It’s hard to get them to understand, especially with phrases like, “We ought”.  Because that is what we were taught.  Now instead of community, it’s every man for himself and every man can be bought.  That is why it is so easy for us to be sold.  Slavery mentality is not a concept that’s old.  Just repackaged, reheated, and has a new catchy hook.  They shook.  Cause ain’t no such thing as halfway crooks.  Scared to death and scared to look.  So I stay fixated on this Mobb Deep filling up the nooks and crannies.  Because I ain’t never scared, I put that on the spirit of my Granny.  I’m getting prepared.  Who Dat?  We Dat change we want to see.  Let the Saints say Amen.  These are the words of a Jesus fan with the faith of a mustard seed in a Universal Healthcare Plan.  The universe is shifting again.  Will you be ready when it’s time to go marching in?  I want to be in that number…This is Cocktails coming from my home cubicle of bloody but not bowed.  Invictus, by William Ernest Henley.
